Speaker praises Bahrain’s cooperation with India, Germany

Manama: Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has stressed the importance of strengthening international cooperation in confronting the novel coronavirus pandemic in order to overcome its challenges, protect the safety and health of everyone, speed up economic recovery and ensure that life is back to normalcy globally.

The speaker made the statements while receiving today the Indian and German Ambassadors to Bahrain, Piyush Srivastava, and Kai Thamo Boeckmann.

She lauded the ongoing cooperation between Bahrain and both India and Germany in many fields and sectors, praising the outcomes of the kingdom’s cooperation with the two friendly countries in the provision of the COVID-19 vaccinations, reflecting Bahrain’s strategic solid ties with them.

The speaker highlighted the keenness of the Council of Representatives to bolster parliamentary relations with India and Germany, as well as to activate the role of parliamentary diplomacy at the Asian and European levels, in order to reflect the depth of the kingdom’s relations with them, in light of the comprehensive development march spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
