Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) organised a condolence meeting.

Manama: The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) organised a condolence meeting on Friday, 13 November 2020 on the sad demise of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the late Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting was held online and attended by HE the Ambassador of India to Bahrain Mr Piyush Srivastava and Mr Ravi Shankar Shukla, Second Secretary at the Embassy of India.

His Excellency Piyush Srivastava said “His Royal Highness was a true friend of India and greatly contributed to strengthening bilateral relations between India and Kingdom of Bahrain.

On behalf of the government and people of India Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has conveyed condolences to His Majesty the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Our External Affairs Minister Dr S Jayashankar today signed the condolence book opened at the Embassy of Kingdom of Bahrain in New Delhi.

As a mark of the departed soul the Indian Embassy has flown our national flag at half-mast at its premises.

On behalf of Indian community and the Embassy of India and my own behalf I convey sincere condolences and may God rest his soul in eternal peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the leadership and with the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

ICRF Chairman Aruldas Thomas, General Secretary John Philip, Vice Chairman, Dr Babu Ramachandran, Advisor Bhagwan Asarpota, Treasurer Mani Lakshmanamoorthy, Joint Secretary Pankaj Nallur and other ICRF members, Mr Soman Baby and representatives from various Indian associations such as Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam, Indian Club, Indian Fine Arts Society, Indian Ladies Association, Telugu Kalasamiti, Odiya Samaj, Bohra Community etc. participated in the condolence meeting.
