Manama: Chief Executive Officer of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina, received the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee Chairman at the Council of Representatives, MP Ahmed Sabah Al-Salloum.
Dr. Bin Daina lauded the role played by MPs in enhancing cooperation between the SCE and the Legislative Branch, especially regarding the support for national projects aimed at improving environmental work for the benefit of the nation and the citizens.
The two sides discussed the draft environment law submitted by the government to the Representatives council, as well as ways to consolidate cooperation between the SCE and the Parliament.
They also reviewed a number of topics related to the environment.
MP Al-Salloum commended the tremendous efforts exerted by the SCE to protect the environment in Bahrain through a number of programmes and activities.
